We are so grateful for the community support of our partnership with the Pittsburgh Omega COVID-19 Food Drive. This initiative has focused on poor and minority communities and families that don’t often have the same access to other food support services because if lack of transportation, being shut-in or other.

 

#GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of giving and unity that will take place today May 5, 2020 as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. Starting at 12AM on May 5th, please make a donation.

We are pleased to partner with the Iota Phi Chapter in their launching of the Pittsburgh Omega COVID-19 Food Drive.  This initiative joins men of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and Rivers Casino (who has generously donated food) working in collaboration.

Pittsburgh Omega COVID-19 Food Drive

The food will be delivered to the following 3 locations where meals will be prepared for Senior Citizens:

  • Eat Initiative at the Energy Innovation Center, located at 1435 Bedford Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. 
  • Ebenezer Baptist Church, located at 2001 Wylie Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15219
  • Mount Ararat Baptist Church, located 271 Paulson Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15206

We ask for your assistance with this important initiative by making a donation to the Iota Phi Foundation, a 502 (c)(3) corporation. Donations can be made through through payment via a credit card, or sending a check payable to Iota Phi Foundation,  to P.O. Box 4773, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. 100% of all donations will be used to purchase food and other essential items.

 

Please donate what you are able. Keep in mind that $50 provides dinner for one person for an entire week. 



Positively impacting our communities by providing a variety of special programs that include Student Scholarships, one of the largest Historically Black College Tours, an annual youth Talent Hunt, and a celebration of outstanding community role models through our Achievement Awards Dinner. $12,000 Matching Gift Caps Off Successful Scholarship Awards!
Thank you to Dr. Charles DeShazer and Regina DeShazer for their tremendous matching gifts! Dr. and Mrs. DeShazer were so impressed with how outstanding the award recipients were that they announced, during the event, that they would match each scholarship given by the Iota Phi Foundation this year. This means that each of the six recipients will receive $4,000 each towards their advance education goals.
